Random Thoughts

1) We are going to Turkey in 70 days. I am so excited for that.

2) I am currently thinking about how to face my biggest fashion fear. Want to know what it is? Wearing black and yellow in the same outfit. I am so so so afraid I will look like a bumble bee. Anybody have some good inspiration for me?

3) Leena Lou and I got $400 worth of clothes for about $45 last night. I'd say we are INSANE bargain hunters.

4) Have you seen Once Upon A Time on ABC? It's awesome. Also it's about princesses so you know I love it. I hope it doesn't get cancelled. All my favorite TV shows get cancelled. I think I don't have very good taste in television.

5) Mickenzie from Toddlers and Tiaras is HILARIOUS. If you need a good laugh and you can get over the fact that she is completely out of control and needs some discipline then youtube her...

6) I am trying to figure out what to get everyone for Christmas. Some people are easy peasy and some are just NOT!

7) I did not participate in one single Halloween activity. No parties, no trick-or-treating, no dressing up. Also I didn't eat a single piece of Halloween candy. Despite all this, I had a fantastic costume prepared. I will save it for next year.

8) I am super excited for our annual girls-only Thanksgiving shopping trip!

9) For some reason I am really interested in reading about Mole People, the people that live in the abandoned Subway tunnels in New York City. Its fascinating.

10) I love Pinterest.

I always hear that the photos of celebrities are photo shopped. I had NO IDEA to what degree that meant.

This morning when I woke up it was pouring rain.

Rain boots seemed like a great idea.

A necessary idea.

Now that I have left the house, I hope I don't really have to go out in public.

It is not raining.

There are no rain clouds.

It is clear and sunny.

It makes me look like the gangsters that wear those puffy jackets even when it's hot.

Totally inappropriately dressed for the weather.

she ran outside with it and hid it.

And then once in a while she digs it up and just sits next to it in the bushes. Actually she hides all her toys outside and then finds them when she wants to. She is so funny!

Sweats.

or more affectionately referred to as "Dan MacClain Sweats."

Every year Leena Lou and I go to Wal-Mart and get a new pair of sweats from the mens department. 

You know, elastic at the ankles, pockets the whole package.

A friend from church (Dan) wears these sweats everyday with a button up shirt. Its sort of his uniform. I envy how comfortable he must feel 24/7 not to mention he totally pulls it off.

Now I would like to share an email that we got a few days ago:

Wal-Mart just received a huge shipment of the famous “Dan MacClain” sweat pants.

I was so happy.

The thicker winter, type are just $5.94 and the thinner, summer type are $9.94, seems it should be the other way around, but if you get one of each, thick and thin, and cost average the two, you are spending only $7.94 to make a “Dan MacClain” fashion statement!

Many wonderful colors, although just in case you have not noticed,

I stick to the rather slimming Navy or Blanco (fu-fu names for Blue and Black, yes I made them up, marketing genious that I am)
