Beach Boys AND Little Big Town

We went to two free concerts at the fair. The first was Little Big Town. They were wonderful.
Leena Lou was obsessed with the one with huge blonde hair.
Then we saved seats for the Beach Boys. I grew up listening to them with Mac. Leena Lou managed to know some of the songs.
My mommny always tells us "yeah I could never go to the Beach Boys because it was always on Sunday. And then all my friends would come back with a great tan!"
This was her chance.
Unfortunately, Puff was the most bored I have ever seen anyone be at a concert.
The only song he knew was California Girls.
To which the lead singer said "Take that Katy Perry!" when they were done singing it.
It was so so fun!

Technically, church ends at 4.

But when you have a mommy as popular as mine, we don't usually leave until about 4:45.
This Sunday was even worse!
After waiting the normal, reasonable amount of time for her,
we got bored. So we got the tennis stuff out of my trunk
and had an impromptu game of tennis.
In the parking lot. Yes, the bishop's children are at it again...

My primary class is funny.

One week they had a lizard in class.
And the next week, they were making crime scene bodies with chalk on the carpet.
That's why I love them!

Craft Day: Cindy Shirt

In preparation for D-Land in a few weeks (once it cools off) Leena Lou and I made princess silhouette shirts. It's the cutest idea from Melissa at Honeyscrap. Don't you love her blog?
First, print a side profile pic of your favorite princess. Thank heaven for google image.
Cut it out
Pin it onto black fabric.
Get a t-shirt. We have an obsession with mens white v-necks. Like a pack of 5 is ten dollars at Target.
Iron the silhouette onto the shirt with Heat-n-Bond. This is important we discovered, otherwise the sewing is impossible!
Sew around the edge with black thread.
Add the finishing touches if you want to. I added a headband and a diamond earring. But it looked totally cute plain too.
Ta-da! I think I need to make some more. I don't want to leave any of the princesses out!
(And don't tell my mommy I didn't iron it.)

We found him!

Puff's doppleganger, that is.
In a "learn to draw" book. We have found my dad's too. More on that later.
2 down, 4 to go!

Julianne Hough Concert

One summer night, we ventured to the Julianne Hough concert at the fair.
Melissa, Ry, Leena Lou and Me
Mac, Puff, Katie and Mommy. I guess Daddy and Jeff hid from the picture.
We were really close. Ry and JH
She even touched Mac's hand.
He was pretty excited. He says they are now in love with each other.
Leena Lou
Melissa
After, we had garlic fries
and funnel cake :)

Craft Day: Shall we make an Anthropologie look-a-like?

Before we get started, let me let you in on a little pet peeve of mine in the crafting world.
I hate it when people say they are going to make a look alike to an expensive item. Then they make it and it looks ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the original.
Then, to cover their mistake, they just say "Well this is what I was making but mine turned out much cuter!"
Or "I put my own spin on it..."
UMM yeah right, chances are it is not cuter.
BUT if it is cuter, then just say "Hey check out my adorable tutorial!"
Instead of "Check out my copy-cat (that doesn't look a thing like the original) tutorial"
Ok enough of that.
Presenting my as-close-as-possible Anthropologie Necklace look a like
5/8" Hand-dyed silk ribbon from M&J Trimming and Fabric Town.
Be careful, there is tons of cute stuff on M&J.
I used about 4 yards each necklace.
All the pretty rainbow ribbons :)
Necklace from Forever, or course. It was like 3 dollars.
It had 4 strands and we needed only 2 so we cut 2 off.

Then we cut all the ribbon into 3.5" strips with adorable pinking shears.
And painstakingly tied two at a time onto the necklace with a square knot
We used kind of a rainbow pattern, but it came out pretty random looking so I don't know if it matters.
Mine is this one.
 Anthropologie's is this one

I love it and I get tons of compliments on it!

This is a test. Good luck.

When you are 20 minutes late to school, it is appropriate to:

a) Quietly come in and sit down and talk to the teacher after class if necessary.

b) Skip to the front of the class while the teacher is talking and say "Hello! Sorry I am late! You know it's hard to find my way here! Where should I sit, is there a seat for me?!" And then hit everyone with your backpack on the way down the row. Then unzip your laptop case and backpack.

c) Not come to class at all

d) All answers are appropriate

Do you have your answer?

I say the correct answer is a. If you guessed a, you got 100%

But if you are the small asian man in my Real Estate class, you definately did b. Oh how I am amused by my community college.

My dad goes to the Home Depot all the time

Everytime he goes, he says "Who wants  to go to home depot with me?"
It sounds very un-appealing.
But if you know the secret, it's alot better.
The secret is that with every Home Depot trip you get Thrifty's ice cream.
And Thrifty's is the best!
